Mike Padua is a long time lover of film photography. He branched that love out to start ShootFilmCo. an online website that sells analog photography related merch. Since the launch, he’s been exploring various film types and cameras to include to his massive collection. We sent Mike the Sprocket Rocket along with a couple of rolls of our Lomography Film to try out. He chat with us about his experience with the camera and origins of his love for analog.

Honest. is an analogue project out of Vienna, New York and California which was brought to life in 2014 by three film photography enthusiasts. In an effort to preserve the tangible aspect of the analogue lifestyle, at the heart of the Honest. tribe is a print magazine about analogue photography.
We sat down with Luca-Mercedes, one of the founders, and talked to her about this ambitious project, their journey over the years and why it’s worth keeping the analogue spirit alive.

For 2016’s Film Photography Day, Lomography’s bringing a very familiar yet delicate topic back from the grave — attempting to give a fresher insight about film’s advantages and the place of digital medium in a photographer’s growth.
One of the best assets of film photography is that no two sets of photographs are the same. They’re always varying in colors and light – some are too pink, some bright yellow, tungsten, washed out, overly bright.. and that’s the beauty of analogue photography.
